Re: R1 oil problem

Not my bike dude!!!! My 600 has been dead for half of the season, so I steal Rabo's bike all the time. To try an answer your question I couldn't. He hasn't got to the point of riding 12's yet, so I'm nit sure what happens to R1's @ 12 o'clock.

He doesn't really post here, but check your PM's - I sent you his email address in case you have other questions(there aren't many R1 stunters out there....)

Re: R1 oil problem

Stef 12'd it a bit, but no problems. I think you'd have to do it for more than 10 minutes to have a problem....

Re: R1 oil problem

Ya, my 02 had an oil problem, it wasn't leaking out. It just wasn't going throught the motor . So now I have an 02 that needs a crank and 4 rods and .... you get the point. Just put the bitch down when the oil light comes on! It doesn't matter if you do it here or there but it's a to ignore ALL THE TIME! That will only last about 1 season

Re: R1 oil problem

OK!! And Sick-One knew this was coming!!! Your first problem is it is a Yamaha!!!

The best way to fix the problem is to vent you crank case out the back with an in line filter. Get a piece of PVC and pack it full of steel wool. Then seal it up with a cap on either end. Grab some hose that is the same size as your crank case vent hose. Take off your old hose that runs up into your air box. Plug off your air box with a cork or something. (what ever you use make sure it is not going to get suck into your air box) Take you new hose and put it onto the case and run it up under your seat into your tail section. Then put the filter on the end. Then run another piece of hose out the other side of the filter. What this does is let the oil get pumped up hose and it gets caught in the filter. Then when you come back down it will run back down into the crank case. This will also allow you to run extra oil. If you know anyone who has raced for a while, they can help you build it! It is easy, cheap, and will save your motor! If the oil keeps getting into the motor like it is now, it will eventually hydraulic the motor and then it is done!!! Ask Sick-One!!
Hope this help!!!
