Re: gas problems

You definatly have to run it with a full tank all the time and it also depends on the length of your bar how its gonna run up there
Mine stalls out too its just how 900s are because its a real primitive gravity system, Old school bikes man!!

Re: gas problems

I know it will always die out when on the bar but what gets me is that it starts to spit and sputter when I am just riding a regular wheelie on the street just at the balance point not even close to scraping. if the tank is 2 dollars short of full this happens. so if there is no way to fix this problem then this bike unfortunatley sucks for the street because you need to find a gas station every 20 minutes. Its ok at a spot if you got a gas can ready to go. Thanks for the help tony.

ps I just read the ss article about you guys in cuba. You guys represented over there bigtime. props to you all

Re: gas problems

one more thing. you know how if you tip over a bottle of soda or oil or whatever and pout it out it will flow slow. But if you punch a hole at the bottom it will suddenly rush out fast.

can this be done to the 900's gas tank? drill a hole at the top and weld on a vaccum fitting from a junk intake manifold. slide a vaccum hose on with a one way check valve that allows air in and keeps gas out on stoppies. let me know what you think thanks man.

Re: gas problems

yeah the tank gets vented through the cap its possible the vent is clogged
900's all do sputter and **** if they are not full to the top. Its just how it is.
I like to run mine a little on the lean side, I find that this helps alot.
Dose your bike have a jet kit in it?? What pipe??
