Pauly and I are on the road together, so things happen
There is really no such thing as a 'couple' when you are on the road...more like a triple or quadruple...hahaha
Then its on to the next city!
Yeah, Chauncey is definitely an awesome rider - I am glad that the XSBA guys let him win the last round...he deserved it. By the way, which tricks constitute 4 year old tricks? Do you mean ones that were performed 4 years ago or performed by a 4 year old? Either way, those tricks deserve to be performed! Also, please note that the majority of tricks performed today are taken from the riders overseas that have been doing these tricks for 10 years. How long have they been scraping? Thought so...Tell them that they do 4 year old tricks and see what kind of respect you get. I think that that is the reason for the downfall and demise of most of the up-and-coming teams in the US - lack of respect. 'Just add ego' theory takes over...oh well.
It's not an 'out with the old, in with the new' attitude...you should be good at as many tricks as you can. We are not going to stop performing the basics like the nac-nac, can-can, leap of faith, christ air, switchback, coffin, etc. These are all crowd pleasers, and we enjoy pleasing the crowd. There are also a few tricks that we opt not to do just because they aren't visually appealing to us - like the 'superman wheelie' or whatever it's called. The point of this 'sport' is entertainment. The crowd is your audience. The crowd doesn't see the technicality of a fender-grab wheelie - they have no idea how difficult it is. Now, they see a basic christ air, and all they see is the rider standing on his tank. They think, 'wow, that guy is crazy'. We appeal to our audience...we choose tricks that they can see happening - it has been a pretty friggin beneficial theory so far.
We are currently reviewing the other videos to pick and choose tricks that we think look cool, and maybe will be included in our performances. The 12 o'clock wheelie is a must, but you won't see us scraping the tail. Scraping calls for modifications by adding a bar, and we like to promote practically showroom bikes - no modifications. It is more impressive to me to see a rider so in control of his bike that he can ride a wheelie a few inches from scraping, but never scraping. By the way, don't count on a 12 o'clock wheelie to take you and your team to the top of the freestyle food chain - it won't. The top guys are performing at least 50 tricks, so keep practicing!
We also have a few new tricks in the bag, but we obviously won't be releasing any details. You will have to catch them in a performance or production.

JoJo,
Spoken like a true 'lady and a scholar'. I am always impressed by how you come across in your writing, very articulate and thought provoking. You are a wonderful moderator and I'm glad to see you commenting on what other people are saying about LVX.
Keep up the good work!

don't get me wrong-everythings new to me-iv'e only been doing this for about 2 and a half years now. and i just think that some of the easier stuff should be left out-otherwise we'd all be pro and we'd all be winning comps. i do however understand that crowds resond to some of the simpler things like massive burnouts and tankstands-and that they can't tell the difference between an elavator or just climing up to the tank. but ****-you can't go around judging these things the same way-i heard alot a thigs about the judging panel and that for the most part it was fair-i dunno
yeah there're some huge ego's floatin' around-but most the guys i know or have met have been, hands down, the best people i have met outside of church.lol
About the europeans-even though they been doing it longer-we've been doing it, most of us, with stock "sport" bikes-no offense todd-but i just think that moding out an old gsxr750 and stunting it is something completely different than usnig a stock sport bike with a pipe and some sprockets
come on-you know this isn't true
bye the way-doesn't paully sport some steel braided lines-pipe-sprockets-sliders-undertail-solotail etc. how is that showroom-
i aint tryin to be sarcastic or anything-in fact i'm doing a paper for school over the xsba ran by clearchannel corp.-if you have any info on this argument i would greatly appreciate it. thankx

I have to admit..the majority of fan's love the so called 4yro stunt's. I also believe they enjoy alot of new stunt's. I believe most of the super technical stunt's are really for your peer's and
not so much for the crowd. She is right in the fact that most fan's
doesn't notice all the small move's and don't realize what it take's to perform it. BUT....When you are competing against other rider's the more difficult stunt's should win out. You shouldn't be able to
win on the old school stunt's. I believe alot of the new stunt's require more skill.

I don't care who the **** you are...Las Vegas Extremes deserve there respect . Pauly is the one along with others to make this sport as popular as it is . Maybe Pauly hasn't been on top of the game lately but come on....we're talking about Pauly here . He is one of the most talented riders out there and I know he will get back on top of the game next year . Chauncey clearly deserved to win this year but I know Paully will come out with some new tricks of his own that will bring the competition to another level and make it more competitive for the other riders out there .

4yr old tricks????
i learned to do a christ(we used to call it surfing) back in 1991 on an old 1979 gs1000e...people used to freak out like holy ****!!!! thats the bike i really made some improvments in my riding...i finally got ALL of this bridge around here too that summer ,its .9mile and tough depending on how windy it is-i would be hanging off the side at 100+ on the back wheel to steer my wheelie and the wind would still be pushing me towards the guardrail-had to let it down quite a few times....
oh yeah, hey jojo like the saying goes, theres no replacement for displacement, way to go with the 1000.keep up the good work and i just wanted to make sure i told you that you are absolutely gorgeous,id love to go riding with ya sometime......
