New bike......to me.
So we left DE after midnight thursday night/friday morning, drove straight to the north side of Detroit, picked up 2 bikes and came straight back. Both owners just happened to be about 40 miles from each other. The transaction was at the bank of the chick who owned mine so she could pay off her loan and hand over the title. The other guy met us there and we had both deals done and bike loaded in less than 30 minutes.
24 hours later we returned to DE at 1am.....I am forkin tired.
So here are a few pics. A couple once we loaded them on the truck and a couple in my driveway. I didn't take any pics of Justin's alone cause we unloaded his at 1am at his place after being up for 40 hours.
Justin's is a '00 929 with about 3500 miles on it in excellent condition.
Mine is a '01 929 with 7000 miles on it, all stock, also in great shape, the paint is 2002 Lexus Silver, looks good and AMAZING similar to Bruce's old 929!
Racing905 cage and 12 bar should be here by the middle of next week, so I have a few things to do once they are here but it's an awesome bike overall so far. Should be out riding it a little Sunday to start getting used to it.

Give it a little time and if the green bike is gone soon I will be looking at the 10R next year.
For now the 929 stays.
All the rumors I have heard about how bad the seat is still hadn't prepared me for just how bad that thing really can be. Then again all the rumors of how smooth the power is was accurate too. My '00 had more seat of the pants power but this bike is just steadier on one wheel.

Re: New bike......to me.
Racing905 cage came in today.
2 days ahead of schedule.
Now I gotta get it coat of paint on it and next weekend things will get a little crazier.
I should have an upper brace by mid-week that I am having welded to the existing brace to make it a little more solid for over the front stuff.
I'll post pics as things update.

You see that!
I put on your leathers for one lap and take your bike for a ride and you keep going all over the place STILL telling people it was you.
C'mon man.
How many roads you going to ride down there in Florida that you could really put what you learn on the track to use?
NONE!
So you might as well stunt.....you got straight roads ALL OVER THE PLACE!!! :YEAH

Re: New bike......to me.
Mine was 5 grand. With only 7k miles, female owned since new and completly stock, I think that was a decent price. I think the other bike, white w/ red was about $5500 if I am not mistaken. Right about there at least. It has only 3500 miles so it's practically new.
Around where I live you can find them for 5 grand but you have to really look around, most people want closer to 6 or even 6500.
I didn't mind traveling to get it for that price, gas and tolls cost us about $200-$225 in my truck, split in half my total cost for the bike was $5100.
I have seen a few 929s in Florida go for around 5 grand lately as well, one was in Brandon, but most seems to have milage in the 9-15k range. Still alot of life left on those bikes but the less on the odometer the better to me.
Jimmy you can ride it when I am down next....unless you wanna come up and visit.
Later all, I gotta go put a coat of Rust-oleum on the cage so I can get it on there.
More (vertical) pics soon to come.
