my sketching plates/not-complete

I got bored today, so my grandfather and myself got some stainless steel and started on making a pair of sketching plates. I no,I no, who gives a $hit, well I do...

We made the back part so they can be straped to your boots, and the toe area was formed to slip your boot right into them like a ski.

I am still wanting to add some metal to the bottoms of them so they will spark up better.

So, what do you think???

Re: my sketching plates/not-complete

Just a question, don't those things make it kinda hard to shift and break?

Re: my sketching plates/not-complete

yea it does make it hard to ride, but it is only about half way done i still need to add the horizontal titanium stripes on the bottom, and that should give me a place to hold my feel on the pegs.

Re: my sketching plates/not-complete

Stainless (atleast a 300 series) isn't going to spark a whole lot, your better off usin plain ol mild carbon steel. if ya wanna spend some money for a lot of sparks, get some High carbon tool steel
