On edelbrock carbs the pass. side vac. port is for timed vacuum, the driver port is manifold vac. Just caught thAT last knight when I dumped $35 on blue ray tropic....

thats the same hood, my homeboy has on his, i think it makes the car.

before you have it painted, you need to have someone re-inforce the middle of the scoop, so it doesnt sag.

 

ohhhhhh

 

its rather easy, all you need to do is glass in 1/8" reinforcements running side to side to keep the middle of the scoop from sagging.

 

I see what ur saying, im gonna start pulling the car all apart, its in my parents barn up north, gonna media blast it (under too) then hopfully get the paint rolling. Maybe just prime/seal under the car since it isnt visible, but will let the rear/front susp & steering stick out

 

i would use POR15 underneath it (it will keep it from rusting) then cover it with lizard skin www.lizardskin.com , stuff works really. at my old shop we did a frame off on a 70 el camino and used that underneath and on the interior (then covered it with dynamat).

i found this place in one of my mags (cant remember which one, it was a while back), but they had a universal standard conversion kit, it was around $200 for everything, including new pedals and the mounting rail, when i go home this weekend i will look for it.

its not, it has everything including the linkage. i thought it was rather cheap myself, when i drop the Tremec 6 speed into my monte, im buying it.

I got the hood on & re-curved the distributor HOLY ****!!!! I noticed my af was dirty too so there's a k&n in now!

Man , i just love the horizontal speedometers old cars used to have . I think Buicks were the last cars to have that style up until the mid 80's .
