Re: Yamaha Or Honda

yamz' all the way, if you dont crash em you have no problems. the tranny.... well i dont know what kinda leve kickin yall doin to em, but i havent had a problem with em once. i guess it is just what you have been ridin, my boi has been ridin a gixxer for years, and he got on my 03' and broke the tranny. but i been ridin it for years and never broke ****. so it is the rider, not the bike.

Re: Yamaha Or Honda

I'm just happy when I make a ride and keep two wheels on the pavement, with me in the saddle. But it has to be a Buell!!

Re: Yamaha Or Honda

only beef I've heard on SL about yamahas are they are not sturdy enouph to withstand multiple crashes.[/QUOTE]

+1
My boy lightly scraped his 05 r6 and bent the crap out of his subframe, lol I told him to reinforce it but lol he couldnt wait to try cuzz he just got it, He had a gix 750 befor and he did the same thing to it but it didnt bend, Yamaha's are track bikes the best thing about them is they are light, and the worste thing about them is they are so light when they do crash they are almost totaled. We went street and he had it up on one for a while didnt seem to starve but was real unstable, I guess it is because it is so light and has more power to weight. Like I said if you are learing get a bike that can take it then when you are good get what you want cuzz you will not drop it much or hard.

Re: Yamaha Or Honda

I want to let everyone know that I am still a yama fan, yeah they got a few probs but they make up for it in other ways, my boy that bent his subframe can pull whooies in 3rd with a bounce and all throttle. Dose any one know how the new R6 clutch is, Cuzz he still clutches the crap out of it and since it is new wonder how long it will hold up.

Re: Yamaha Or Honda

yamahas are the boss... who cares that you caint crash em, get some ****in skill and dont crash em they will be aiight. scraping it..... mmm i aint a fan of scrapin, nor can i do it. so i will not be experienceing the weak subframe problem, because i think rockin it till it almost touches is better than scrapin'.

and for the person askin for the 06 R6 advice on clutching. give it more gas... thing is hollow down low, and crazy higher in the revs.
