on an 03 model it is mounted right in front of the battery (between the battery and the tank). just pull it off, unclip the wire, take the four screws loose and remove the metal cap, put some zip ties on each side of the ring that floats inside. put it back together. i have heard that certain types of caulks and silicones can be conductive and make the bike not run at all so i used zip ties. hope this helps

Hey guys I have a friend that wants to know if on the gsxr1000 there is a way to completely remove the switch box by clipping the wires and just connect the ones you need?
Like the way some people do on the 929.

Thanks.

Its located in front of the battery.. all I did was remove it, took it apart and used electical tape to keep the little magnetic half moon device in there from swinging side to side. Put it back together and put it on the bike.

on the f4i... it wont cut out from doing regular wheelies... but will when you get into 12's...

the box is in the very front of the plastics in between the head lights.... there are three wires... i dont remember the colors.. but i do know that you need to cut all three of them but tape the two wires on the outside together and just tape off the middle one... and never have a problem again... you do this and the bike doesnt start after that... then you probably blew a fuse... that happened to me...

can't do it that way it has to be in the wiring harness. you have to fill it with silicone/caulk

-----on the f4i the outside wire colors to be spliced together are green and red. the middle white wire gets taped over and buried

let it cut out at 12 then just use the clutch as a handbrake

Re: 2004 gsxr tip over sensor???

Do not fill the box with any glue, caulk or any other bullshit. simply use the zip tie method. Zip ties are the easiest and will not affect any other operation of the bike. Filling that box with some gue is just asking for trouble. Later on...jk www.theuprightsstuntteam.com
