Rear brake problem

I just replaced my brake pads on my ZX7R, they have pretty much been metal to metal since i got the bike 6 months ago..i just used my front brake and engine brake..to lazy and broke to fix them well anyway my rotor still had lots of life on it so i just put new pads on..they only have about 10 miles on them now but it seems that theres not much braking..theres like two points of braking..slightly pressing down it brakes slightly then the other point is locking the rear wheel up..maybe they just need broken in and whats the correct way to do this?

Re: Rear brake problem

Is your rotor cupped? If so your pads could be contacting on the outer edge of the radius, and then with a little more pressure the pads would pivot on the two outer high spots of the rotor and ****, contacting the deeper portion of the wear surface with the leading edge of the pad, wedging itself between the rotor and the caliper piston. If your rotor looks good, then I dunno.
