header melting lower fairing

My header has melted my fairing into 2 seperate pieces. I think I'm gonna zip-tie it but after that should I put heat resistant tape on the fairing? Or maybe wrap the header with heat tape? Anyone ever been in this situation....what should I do to fix the problem?

I'm about to do the same thing.......minus the fire. Do I have much life left in my tire with 1" of steel exposed?

Re: header melting lower fairing

I'd say another thousand miles or so, or a 10 second burnout.
