99zx9r.. reverse shifting????

Can anyone tell me how to change the shift pattern on a zx9r (1999).. i want 1 up and 5 down...

Normally you just flip the linkage over at the shifter shaft. Without looking at a ZX9 though I'm not sure if you can do it.

seems the front sproket cover will be in the way then...
