ZX7R spreader help
i ride a 96 ZX7R +2 in the back other than that pretty much stock, ive pretty much gotten wheelies 80% down but ive been trying first gear tank spreaders. i just rev it to about 7k rpms and wack the throttle,it comes up about 1-1/2 foot just powering it up.im wondering should i used the clutch and whats the best method? and another thing is does anyone know how easy a 7R's tank will cave? i dont want it to im just wondering if it will if i slam down from a spreader..

Re: ZX7R spreader help
im doing first gear stand ups right now,i put my left foot on the rear passager peg and it helped a lot to feel safe at the balance point..but i just it to 4500 rpms stand up and give it gas and a little balace..the 7R is a hog of a sportbike but its a nice bike..tell me how that sprocket set up goes for you

Re: ZX7R spreader help
yup..hopfully tomorrow i can go to my "spot" and practice for a little while..im wanting to try to slow my first gear wheelies down and work on spreaders.one thing that helps is find a clean road free of traffic/cops/people...ive noticed when im all by my self is when i do my best wheelies,i can even just have my gf standing on the side of the road at my spot and my wheelies get sucky..try it

Re: ZX7R spreader help
yeah it is all in your head..you have to really concentrate on the wheelie, also try droping your rear tire pressure 8-10 pounds..helped me out it makes it feel a lot more stable mid wheelie..BTW where are you from?
