Re: ZX7R spreader help

Alright im back from riding, i went out late cause it was my kids B-Day, but **** what a diff when i change out my rear sprocket lol i went out and try my wheelie like i always do and boom my bike goes way up lol and i didnt expect that lol i dont even have to try really i just go about 15mph and pull in the clutch and rev a little and it shoots up, so now i just have to get use to it before i try to ride em out longer

I think JT Holt's bike is a zx7 with a zx9 engine-I remenber reading that on a couple of different sites. Sweet bikes though i used to have a 96.

Re: ZX7R spreader help

Hey, I saw you siad that they balance point on the 7r seems to be WAYYYY up there, and just telling you that it's not just you. The 7r has a lot of weight up front hence making it need to be higher in the air to be at bp.
I have a katana with the same heavy-in-the-front issue, but it will come up.
It just takes testicular fortitude.

Re: ZX7R spreader help

im so pissed off at my 7. i was riding with some buds tonight and they were just rippin **** at like 50-60 and i was just in the back just crusising and we stop at this red light and all these girls were like omg ur wheelie was awesome. if only i could bring it up in 2nd im thinking about selling her and gettin a 600. its a great bike but its just too heavy. i heard 600's are great for 2nd and clutching 3rd. thought about gearing the **** out of it but nah i gotta let her go. i wanted to keep her till she died and throw a 9 in it.

Re: ZX7R spreader help

lets see..id say keep the 7 and gear it to hell, who needs top speed if you can wheelie down the freeway like a champ? im not sure about a 9motor in a 7frame,but im sure its been done or could be done and i wouldnt step down to a 600 from your 750 get a gixxer750 or a zx9..unless your just wanting a 100% stuntbike id get a 600..cuz after you gear it its gonna lift just as easy as a 1000cc bike..but instead id either gear the 750 or get something newer or more powerful..oh and i power up all of my wheelies...this rocks we got a little ZX7R possi going on!
