carb jetting question

Hey you guys i'm thinking of putting a K&n air filter and a 4 degree ignition advancer on my zx-9r, do you think i will have to rejet my carbs? The bike is stock except for a scorpion slip on pipe. I'm wanting to gain a couple more horsepower, so i figured these would be easy mods. :YEAH

Re: carb jetting question

unless you weigh 300 lbs and want to try highchair wheelies in 3rd, you shouldn't need more HP. To answer your quastion, no rejetting necessary unless you replace the FULL EXHAUST system. Bike is super smooth on wheelies, just got to find that SWEET SPOT. Took me 11k miles to get it to do whatever I wanted it to do and whenever I wanted it to do it.
Watch those front brakes, they actually GRIP, but I'm sure you already know that.

Re: carb jetting question

yeah i'm finally getting the hang of standup wheelies, it has took all summer to get decent at them. Yeah i love the brakes on this bike, rolling stoppies are no problem, but i haven't done any in a while. Thanks for the info
