I have a 02 gix 6 and was just looking for some gearing advice? I can ride first gear stand ups all day havent really tried a whole lot in 2nd but I wanna be able to bring it up going semi-slow 20mph without havint to clutch the hell out of it. Any suggestions on gearing? Dont want to go to crazy i ride on the street all the time

 

i would go 1 down in the front an up 3 in the rear , with that combo you wont lose to much top end an it will still be good on the street....

 

i agree, im -1/+3 on my f3, i bring it up in 1st 2nd and 3rd without a problem. it'll 12 easily too...

 

i'm down 2 up 6 :YEAH ,haven't had a problem yet bringin it up in second lol and it'll still run on the street just not near as fast

-1 +3 I have an 03 Gix 600 and that is what i have. It is perfect for street riding and f*cking around too.

 

i just have -1 and it will come up at 8-12 mph really easy with clutch and some gas. Staggered is the way to go... just stagger one foot front peg and one rear. but don't wreck like me
i'm thinking about going up in the rear... just want as close to stock as i can
