Stunting a new gixxer.

Picked up a new 600 GSXR awhile back.. im lookin to start stuntin the mother

I can clutch first.. and power first.. question is, do I want to gear it? if so how much?

i wanna be able to roll long wheelies :P going slow and about highway speed.. not sure what to do, gear or keep it stock.

If it comes down to either, id rather have the ability to do slow 1st/2nd gear wheelies all day rather then highway.

Re: Stunting a new gixxer.

I have an 04 600 stock, and I can bounce 2nd gear up at 55MPH straight up to BP, and it comes up fast too. Also.. I can bounce 3rd going 75MPH, so it's all technique...

In my opinion... gearing the bike is making up for your lack of skill, learn how to stunt without gearing, and if after you've mastered the bike you STILL want gearing... then go for it..

Get a 525 kit, stock front sprocket, and +10 to +14 on the rear. Dont go down on the front cuz it will make your bike more torqy and also eat up your chain. I have a new gix 1k, with +14 on the back. It comes up like a rocket. Talk to Phil at www.moto-heaven.com, thats where i get my gears...
