Turn signal bulb keeps burnin out

Anyone have any ideas why I keep burnin out turn signal bulbs? I put on the Lockhart flush mounts a couple of weeks ago and I've burned two bulbs already. It's the same fixture that keeps poppin them. I figured something was shorted in there but if something was shorted, wouldn't I pop a fuse? The remaining three are fine. Thanks!

Re: Turn signal bulb keeps burnin out

did you check the fuse? is the bulb really burned out? are all the signals working or are they flashing twice as fast?

When I put on my LP signals I burned a fuse trying out the signals without both front and rear hooked up.

that's the only signal problem ive had.

EDIT: is the correct fuse being used? on mine its a 5amp. i think if the fuse lets too much amperage through it will pop the light.

Yeah, the bulb is cooked. All the other ones blink at regular speed. What's weird is that normally, when someone burns a bulb, the remaining good bulb on the same side speeds up. It's not doing that in this case. I'm thinking that maybe I got a bad fixture straight out of the package. I'm gonna have a good look at the guts of it today methinks.
Thanks a lot

And yeah, I still use 'em. po po like to follow bikes late at night around here.
I figure why give them an excuse.
