Anyone else have problems with there Gixxer on long highway **** with oil filling the airbox up?? about a month ago i did a stand up around 2.5 miles and the airbox filed up with oil, thought i blew it up but i got it going again still smokes some when i start it up in the mornings but then goes away after a lil bit, just want to know if anyone else has this problem and how i can fix it so i dont blow the motor.........any help is appreciated.

 

My boy has an 02 gix 600, and ive watched him wheelie for 6 miles at least and he never had a problem with his. i havent ever heard of someone havin the problem that your havin...

He was runnin the correct amount of oil at that time, now we both run different oil pickups made by www.stuntex.com, with one of these your engine will circulate oil on a 12 bar...

 

Overfilling usually causes this problem. The extended pickup alleviates these issues. Buy an extended pickup. Heard nothing but good things so far.

 

Thanks fellas, i think i am gonna buy a pickup from stuntex i already checked them out just didnt no if that **** really worked, ill throw that pick up on and go do a 2 miler and see what happens thats about all i no to do lol. Talked to the guy at the bike shop yesterday while i was buying something and told him what happened but i didnt mention wheelies, hes like STOP DOING WHEELIES ur gonna blow that motor up, i said ya right ill get right on that homo

 

are the oil pickups hard to install, and is it something u can make or is it like a special part?
