best to just let it dent from doing stunts. if it leaks put washers under the pedastals of the gass cap until it stops leaking. once it's dented alittle you can smooth it out with a rubber mallet.

I just did 1 for a guy. They don't mash in very far. Make sure you have like 1/2 tank or less of gas. Have somebody hold the bike up then put one foot on the seat and use more of your heel and stomp around the cap first. Gixxers mash easy. Ocasionally open the cap to see if you are down all the way and check to make sure the mash is level. then finish around the cap using a rubber mallet..hit the mallet with another mallet..u can get it smoother this way

I agree more with Teddy B. My brother's started to dent in by itself from doing highchair stoppies. I did mine by having my friends hold up the bike and I basically stood up on the tank and dropped to my ***. This way the mold fits your *** nice. Once it's started you can refine it with your fist or foot or a rubber mallet.

It doesn't take a lot of force to bang it down, especially once you've already got it started.

start hitting aroung the gas cap until it starts to flatten out, make sure you dont dent it too much or the bottom of the gas cap with touch the inside of your tank. work from the inside out and even the entire tank out. use a rubber mallet. ill post pics tom if you want
