I need everyones opinion on where to get the cheapest, quietest , short muffler at. It doesnt have to be supershort but short enough to clear 12's. I have a 03 gsxr 1000 and my bar is basically where the tip of the plastic tail was. I think that scorpion pipes will clear but im not sure, i think they cost too much anyways. Ive cut my stock can down too short and its irratating loud. I also have a d&d but its loud also and too long, and i didnt want to cut that one. Just wondering who has the hookup on mufflers.....

 

You can buy almost any aftermarket can, and cut it down yourself, and then rivet the end back on. Go on ebay, and search for a hindle or yoshimura or something. You can get a can thats scraped up, or dented for CHEAP. If its dented only on one end, you can trim it down, and you won't even see the damage.

 

I had a cut hindle on my old gsxr1k and it sounded awsome not nearly as loud as the cut mig I have on my 929. u can also cut and reweld a stock pipe, it is quiet and inexpensive. .02
