IS it safe to wheelie a '93 900rr??

I've heard a couple rumors about the older 900rr's (96 and earlier) throwing rods while doing wheelies do to lack of oil suply... I've also heard that you can be in the middle of doing just a little 2nd gear wheelie, and the engine can sieze and throw you on the pavement because of lack of oil suply...?

If this is true, is there anything I can do that will eliminate this problem? thanks in advance! I got this bike to stunt it, so I hope that this isn't the case.

I have heard that the motor can be starved of oil on these bikes, your bike looks sweet, I would buy a rashed up 900rr like a 98 or newer, the newer models have some kinda baffle that prevents oil starvation.

I think it was the 899cc motors that had the problem (not sure what years). the 919 motors that they put in the later 900rr's solved the problem with some kind of baffle. (not sure what year they started putting the 919 motor in the 900rr).

they put the 919cc in the 96+ RR's the 3rd Cylinder starves on longer wheelies on the 899cc motors id say go with a 96 and newer with the 919 engine but all RR parts seem to interchange so maybe you could throw a new style engine in there and solve your problems
