I know everyone crashes sooner or later, but i grabbed to much brake in the fast lane at around 85-90 and slid for a long time(lots of rash). I was going to give up the sport but couldn't so went and bought a 03 cbr 600 and I'm trying to get some wheelies down but I'm scared to hit the ground again. How do you get over that demon?

BEING SCARED IS PART OF THE THRILL. THE FUNNY PART ABOUT IT IS, I GET SPOOKED ON CERTAIN TRICKS ON MY BIG BIKES[2-929'S]. BUT NOT TO LONG AGO I FLIPPED A 3RD GEAR SITTING 12 ON MY XR-FIDDY AND RIPPED MY ACL [KNEE JOINT] IN HALF. ITS A PERMENANT REMINDER OF WHAT CAN HAPPEN. SO ,BEING SCARED ISN'T BAD, JUST TAKE YOUR TIME, BABY STEPS. MAD PROPS ON GETTING BACK OUT THERE. BE SAFE.

 

yep...i know what your talking about. I looped a freeway wheelie in Feb. and destroyed my knee. I just started walking on it in may. The funny thing is though, I was back to the wheelies before I could walk without crutches. you HAVE to get back on the horse. Also, Im a way better rider now that I have been down.
