Exclamation My Stoopid Idea

So, here is what I'm thinking......

I don't know if anyone has done or thought of this.....

And for the record, I can't twelve to save my life but here goes my thought....

I know that when youre rockin a 12 and ya slam the 12 bar a lil' too hard, it can be unforgiving....

What if ya got all McGyver on some sheot and made a 12 bar with an axle and wheels instead of the plate?

Like maybe some roller blade wheels on the axle or something?

I dunno, just a thought.

If I get flamed I'm gonna pretend like it was some other dumbazzes idea...

But if it works, I GOT DIBS ON THE PATENT!!!!!!!!

It would have to be spring loaded, and engage the rear brake you go too far to keep you from looping.

Spring loaded? Rear brake?

Naw mang, I was thinkin you could ride em out like that a decent speed without too many worries about it catching.

A 12 bar though? if it's not spring loaded and your front wheel is straight up in the air and you hit wheels isn't that going to encourage you to loop?

McGyver says no! 1

Sheet man, I dunno, make it an 11:30 bar then?

Like I said, I can't pull a 12, I was just thinking about the physics involved.

You kids should see some of the crap I had welded to the back of my bike a few years ago. Then I found out that if I just practiced more instead of trying to reinvent the 12 bar, its actually really easy to scrape smoothly.

No need to get ignorant, it was just a thought I had.

I am not a kid.

Re: My Stoopid Idea

I think it may actually help the bike loop or make it un-stable. Still though, good thinking. I see what you have in mind. Like your could go farther once you've landed. I think a better idea would be some sort of suspension based twelve bar that's more forgiving.

as far as attaching it to the rear brake, uh, well, if your back that far and your not already on the rear brake well, more than likely your aboot .3 seconds away from looping. They have a wheelie bar out there that is somehow conected to an ignition interupter. But it's a lot longer than a twelve bar.
