I would like to know from anyone that has a clue on what type of adjustable **** type idle i could buy for a certain year of bike that would work nice on my 03 gsxr 1000?

 

i have an o2 gsxr 1000 and the idle screw is under the tank. i presume that yours is in the same spot. i got an idle adjuster off an old gsxr 96-2000.600 or 750, they r the same. just take the old screw out and put the new one in and run the line out between your tank and frame. then i took 1 self tapper screw and mounted it to my frame. best **** i could have ever done. now all i have to do is reach down to turn my idle up. :YEAH

the idle is how high your rpm's are when your bike is just sitting there when it is runnin. you can adjust it higher for slow wheelies and 1 hand or no handed stunts

 

oh i see. so wat happens if u turn it lower does it make ur rpms drop? like does the engine have to work harder if u turn the rpms down??? or does the engine not change??

 

WHEN YOU TURN IT DOWN THE BIKE RUNS LOWER AND RUNS A LITTLE ROUGHER LIKE IT IS GONNA STALL. YOU WANNA KEEP IT STOCK UNLESS YOU ARE GONNA DO SOME STUNTIN

 

Stunters turn the idle to 3000rpm's or so to keep constant revs so they can be smoother with 12's and also for no handed tricks.
