Don't go to a 520. If you are gonna stunt (52t.. I would think so) the bigger the chain the less probs you will have with throwin a chain or stretching. You wont notice the weight difference.

It's ok ruff rider, the 520 is ok the tinsel strength is very close,,,,but I do think the 530 is better. Personally I think the 520 thing is simply a trend from the race track.
Dude,,from experiance I think Vortex sprockets suck. They are ok but you'll get a longer life with Sprocket specialists diamond hard (you will prolly have to wait for a month for them though) Afam is the shiznit but they are made in yucky france.
I like pilznacker brothers too. (PBC) I've run them on the 954 and I got 13000 miles (really hard miles) and they probably would have held out to 20,000 but I changed em cause I was bored over the winter.

Chains, use D.I.D. they are awesome. Or Regina (strong as hell) the only crappy thing about regina is you really gotta improvise to rivet the master link on since it's a totally different design of rivet. Good luck finding the regina tool.

Well I was told that it was hard to find any really big sprockets in anything but a 520 size.

Yeah, most are in 520, 525. But S.S. can custom make up to a 71 tooth I believe. I went up to a 530 on my 97 gix6, and if I want something they will have to make it. But If they already have the size Im looking for in 530 for a gix750 then I can use one of those(maybe save little loot)

i was impressed about the responces
but that there stage one consists on what size rear sprocket?
that you can still do yer regular topspeed?
what like a 48 tooth?
then again 48 tooth sprockets come on r6's and those sumbitches cumeup easier than my **** in first gear so nevermind

you cannot compare a 48 tooth from bike to bike due to gear ratio. i ride a 929 and only run 1 down 3 up. lifts fine for slow **** and high speed is sufficient for the streets.
