Maybe your fuel pump is bad?

Re: No Start

Ok, first, did the bike just shut off then wouldnt restart? Has it been setting? What was the last thing you did to it before this happened? Like getting fuel or installing some kind of mod or anything you can think of. If it isn't getting spark either then its not likely its the fuel pump, but it never hurts to check for power and ground at the pump and the ignition coil. If neither are working though it almost has to be a sensor or ignition switch or something that would disable both spark and fuel, possibly the PCM but not likely. Verify that your nuetral indicater is lighting up when you put it in nuetral... Also check your fuses... Thats about all i can think of, just my though, usually it seems that this kinda stuff is something simple its just a process of checkin stuff out! Good luck!!!

Re: No Start

check your kick stand, and follow the wires from it all the way to where they go, making sure the connections are secure

Re: No Start

Same thing happened to my friend on his 2000 R1. The fuel pump was the culprit. They run about 150 bucks at the dealer.

Re: No Start

my friends 01 R1 would cut-out going down the road and die, and it was the switch up on the clutch lever that works with the kickstand/in gear switch.
