A lil more info on wheeliein my 954
Check it out peeps, I have gotten my bike up but I cant keep it there also I am having problems with being consistant any little things that yall feel I might be over looking? Please let me know..
Here is what I do.
1) get the bike going in first to about 10-15 mph.
2) slip the clutch with one finger to where it disengages
3) roll the gas to about 5-6 K rpms
4) let the clutch out and try to stay on the gas to get it higher or keep it up
The whole thing comes up like 2 feet or something like that what am I doing wrong I have got it up hight 2 times only and I have no idea what all I did to get it right. Let me know I know we have some tight azz pro's in here kick the lil guy down with some info. Thanks peeps.

I have tried 2nd gear but I cant even get the front tire off the ground so I need info on what to do and what not the times I have gotten it up in first I only give it enough to get it up to 6 or 6 and a half K rpms.
Re: A lil more info on wheeliein my 954
Just play with the rpms the more rpm the higher it'll come up. Your other problem bight be that your letting off the gas as it jumps back at you in this case you need to get in your car and go to the bike store and ask the parts guy if he can get you some NUTZ. If he cant help you you'll have to grow your own.
JUS Kiddin play with those RPMS it'll come with time dont rush **** jus be persistant. :YEAH

just stick with clutching it up since thats what you have been practicing, if you are doing standups, try bouncing it a little bit. Also, if you can, try to get video of you trying them, chances are it isnt coming up near as high as you think, and you will be less scared to use more RPM's. Good Luck

I am in almost the same boat my friend.......I am rolling at the same speed but not watching the rpms as much.....I look at the tach only occasionally....getting 7-8 grand......when it gets to the point where you want to tap the rear brake or get off the gas totally thats it.........I was playing with it for a week before I figured out that what I thought was behind the balance point was the point......still can't nail it all the time but am not chasing them till redline anymore........get a camera and set it up and watch yourself it's really enlightening on how far your coming up.

MMMK,,
1st you'll notice that there is a 954 wheelie tips post!! There is some great info in there.
Second,(i'm not good at it either so what I say is only what I've started noticing) Pay real close attention on what your body position is . Leaning forward just a little bit can drop that front tire. Also pay attention to your clutch sometimes I let it out to slow and that causes frustration.
Try keeping your body in the same place it may work wonders,,,
And peep out the 954 wheelie post it's good.
Iight?

if you just want to do first gear wheelies then you dont even need to use the clutch or stand up with the 954 get it to about 10-15 mph and crack the throttle she will come up you just gotta keep it there and then if you want to do 2nd gear get to around 6 rpm stand up and bounce it up giveing it throttle at the same time that you bounce
