carb sync rpm.......

carb sync rpm.......

heya,
getting my bike ready for a weekend of practice but have never really found out what rpm to sync my carbs at......I have been doing it at idle but if I turn the idle up to 3k it is off.....if I sync at 3k it is off at idle......any hints...

You should be doing it at the idle spec that is in your service manual (differs a little with different bikes), but usually it is between 850 and 1100 RPM's. It is going to be off at higher idle. There is technically a special way to set your idle properly, but I just use the idle screw and it is close enough.

heya......thanks to both of you...it does help, and yes anthony I would like to hook up.we have chatted a few times but I have had a nasty work schedule......I am spending alot of time with my kids this weekend but will fit in some time for riding.....just got them a pocket bike that looks like mine and its great!!!!!!!!!
