Where do you find those license plates that when you hit the switch they turn up so you cant see them any more? I found the license plates that black out but I dont want that as much as a retractable license plate if any one could give me a sight to were their at that would b great

You can make them pretty easy and cheap. Remember the old cars with the flip down rear license plates to get to the gas filler? Use one of those flipped so it always has tension on it, hold it with a house door slide latch hooked to a regular pull type choke cable that you can mount anywhere.

takes a little modifying to get it working straight, but when it's all good, you pull that cable and BAM that thing flips up flat.

 

Good idea, I never thought of doing this, nice for when you want to pull a stunt at night when you don't know who is behind you...

I made one with a choke cable and a hinge off a screen door or something that could flip up and back down.

dont forget to put a switch on your taillight circuit

man, go to Home depot or some hardware store and spend $1.50 on a cabinet hinge...then bolt it to your mud guard and to your plate...this will flip up underneath your tail totally flat so you can't see it it all. I did this and ran a piece of trimmer line up through my tail section down to where my left leg is...works like a charm... costs less than 5 bucks...only takes 20 min to complete...ok 30 min is you spend 10 bucks and drink two forties while you do it!! good luck...i might have pics lemme go look and i'll post later.
