Removing bank angle sensor from an 02 F4i

How do I get rid of this damn thing. I found where it was and figured it was like a normal mercury switch so I connected the 3 wires figuring it would bypass it but it blew a fuse. Trying to turn this thing into a streetfighter and I really don't want to have this box stuck somewhere. How can I remove that whole harness and still get the bike to run?

cut all three wires, then connect the two outside wires and leave the middle wire hanging. Problem solved!

ill be more specific....... connect the white/red wire w/ the green wire........ it is teh two outer wires comming from the plug....... but its not the two outer wires coming from the bank sensor itself.

Do you know how to bypass it at the main wire harness (no headlight harness here). I don't know which pins to jump...

you can use the headlight harness if you are going to run the lights. if you use it just connect the red and green this will complete the circit. let the white one be..

you can cut the green and red wires befor the plug and connect them there if you are trying to keep it all clean and dont want to use the headlight harness.

make sure you wrap them all good with elec tape, you dont want it to come lose when your doing a spreader....

Thnx. After reviewing the wiring diagram I found out that at least the bank sensor wires colors are the same on the headlight harness and the main harness. I jumped the red/white and green on the main harness and this beauty took off right away. Now, with the diagram in hand I'm planning on building a headlight harness to operate everything as stock...

I have an 01 F4i. The bank angle sensor is bad on mine so I spliced the 2 outside wires but when I turn the ignition on it doesn’t do anything. The gauge cluster doesn’t cut on or anything but when I unhook the 2 wires the cluster will cut on but it won’t turn over. I’m stumped

My sensor is bad and grounds to the frame. When I bypass it with the red/white and green is just powers the frame and shorts the bike causing the 20 amp fuse to blow. Isn't the red/white wire a power wire? I don't understand how you could connect them and not cause a short, any help would be great.
