having trouble covering rear brake
having trouble covering rear brake
well ok so im working on wheelies. everyone says to cover your rear brake so in a last ditch effort before looping it, the rear brake will bring you back down. now i used to ride a gixxer 6, now i have a honda 954. it was alot easier to cover the rear break on my gix than the 954. the rear brake on the gixxer seemed so much lower. on my 954 its higher and the angle is horrible and realy hard to cover without putting force down on it. anyone else with a honda have problems with this?
Re: having trouble covering rear brake
i did have the same problem but i just adjusted it all the way
down as far as the adjuster would let me .....remember that
when they say cover the rear break a proper 12 wheelie will
be by riding the rear break to hold you at the b/p so you always
want to keep pressure on it...i hope this helped

Re: having trouble covering rear brake
ah so there is an adjuster, i was wondering that. ill have to figure out how to move it. cause right now its way up high and tight. thanks for your help. goy any help on how to adjust it?
Re: having trouble covering rear brake
My brake was also way to high. I had a hard time adjusting the hight of the lever. I found it easiest to take off the whole foot peg and brake assembly. I also wasn't able to adjust it far enough without making a bolt shorter with a dremel.
Re: having trouble covering rear brake
there's an article in the back of this months motorcyclist about adjusting controls. but on most bikes you just have to loosen that nut and turn that bolt to move it up or down.
