yes...my technique was to bounce up a stand up in second and shift to 3rd gear on the way up. I have some vids of freeway wheelies from like 2 years ago on my R6 i can post em if you want to see just gotta find em.

Re: r6 highway wheelies

Why does everyone think it can't be done on an R6, or that it beats the hell outta them? They come up very easily and ride out without problems. Maybe it's just people's LACK of skill.

why is it gonna be **** to see, they stock gearing on them is like 16T-Front and 46T or 48T-Rear. Last year one of they guys that rides with us is like 250lbs ridin a 02 or 03 R6 and kept flappin lips about the bike doesn't have enough power this and that. he's gotta get an R1 and that's that. Finally he let one of my buddies who's got a 02 R1 get on it and wheelie it. He was doing em the same as he was on the R1. rocking them like they were nothing.

For 1 it's called rider skill level and

My kawi zx6r will come up in fourth. I have had a little practice but any decent rider can get any later model 600 up and keep it up as long as the road will allow. After it is up is the easy part.

I forgot to mention that IS using the clutch ......and bouncing the hell out of it.

Re: r6 highway wheelies

I started riding last summer and I can get my 01 r6 up in 4th on the highway with a clutch and a bounce with no problem. I don't like how it sounds tho, so I tend to do keep them in 3rd on the highway.
