Thumbs up Re: r6 wheelies?

I have an 02 R6 and this is what I do,roll about 45-50 mph, stand up, bounce and whack the throttle on the way up from the bounce. It's all about 'timing'. I had success when I first started by also positioning my hand 'over' the throttle a little more than usual before I start to roll. Just go out one day and find a good spot and just hit it, one after another and you'll slowly see the front some up. Also, do a search on this topic and you'll get alot of good info. Just my

Re: r6 wheelies?

ya, what he said. Usually around 5-6k on my 02 R6, bounce it, keep your body weight towards tha rear and cover tha rear brake. If you do that, you'll start gettin tha feel, than BAM, you'll do a fatty one most likely that'll scare tha **** outta u. But R6's have a higher BP. But ya, do a search, alot of 2nd gear R6 wheelie info on this site.
