stunna question

just curious.....ive been practicing my standups and im pretty sure that i have them down.....can pull them up evertime with confidence and hold them .....i was just curious where i go from here.....do i try a tank whoolie next is there some kind of order of difficulty? just wondering what would be the next trick i should start to practice?

ive sat on my tank a few times at various speeds but i think that as soon as i clutch it up that im going to slide right off my tank??? do you guys put some sort of grip on your tanks or just beat a dent in them??? also worried about when i go to land them...do i have to really be careful not to crossup my front wheel??? any pointers would be great .....peace

The first time I tried a tank wheelie, I slid right off the tank back into the seat. I thought the same thing as you, that I would have to put some grip tape or something. But you need to do anything special. If you squeeze the tank with your legs, and hold on with your arms tight, you'll be fine. Then once you get use to it, you can just spread your legs and cruise on one. Good luck

Surfboard grip pads work great. I'm just learning tank wheelies now too...or at least I'll be trying soon. With the surfboard pad you'll stick like glue.

You can stay on the tank just how it is... My tank is stock, no dents or grip **** or anything, and I never slide off.. Just hold on tight with your arms.

Skateboard grip tape would prob work, but it seems like it would eventually eat a hole in your pants because it's so rough. If you use anything, I would think that a surfboard gip pad would be the best.

everyone is starting to use the surfboard pad. I am with NAGS, I don't use anything. just hold on with your arms. It may just be a Gixxer thing.

well i got a gixxer with a dented tank, and grip tape, and when i spread my leggs far enough (like a 2 for 1 hooker) i slide off. but then again im 230lbs. maybe i should hit the gym. anyway, my point is no matter what it takes for you to do it, just do it....nike
