ALL EXPERT STUNTERS PLZ READ!!! Dictonary/Help for all!!!
First I would like someone to go into detail about a few topics, that would help us newbies with your termage.
There are to my knowledge three ways to pull a wheelie.
Bounce Method: Get the bike in the bottem of the power range, shortly goose the bike, then let off the throttle, when the bike's front end dips down, regas the bike lifting the front end off the ground.
Clutch Method: Not 100% sure how your SUPPOSED to do it... this is how I do it. Get the bike rolling in the bottem of the power range, pull the clutch rev the engine up, then dump the clutch... to me this way is not stable... but I'm probably doing it wrong.
Straight power method: I've never done this, my bike is not powerfull enough to do wheele this way.
Covering the brake: I'm not 100% sure what people mean exactly when they say to cover the brake... I would assume to put your foot over the brake incase you need to use it... though I'm not sure if your supposed to apply slight pressure or not.
Please explain in great detail each of the above, how you do it... The terms are thrown around alot, but never really FULLY explained.
I have a '91 Suzuki GSX 600 Katana 31,000 miles... the bike is heavy, and not that powerful. The only way I can pull the front up is the bounce method... I hear people say that this method isn't predictable. But for me it seems to work rather consistant. The clutch method is the one that's not very consistant for me, half the time I spin out, half the time I pop a small wheele, then it falls back down due to insufficent power. I'm not sure if I'm moving fast enough or not.
My second gear is messed up, it will throw it back in neutrual if I get the R's up too high, it's been like that since I bought it. I figure that someone wore out the sprocket stunting... eather way, all my knowledge is from 1st gear only, and there's no way in hell my bike will put it up in 3rd... the power band in 3 is around 60-90 mph... too fast to pull the front end up.
Anyway, tell me what you think would work best with my bike... when I bounce, the front end never reaches the balancing point I dont think.... It's probably a combination of me being scared, and lack of power... but give me some pointers, and explain all the terms you can think of in greater detail, do you use the break while your pulling the front end up? Do you use that to maintain the balancing point? or do you let off the gas?
Oh, and what's a "circle" That where you burn out in a circle, with the front tire still?

I was gonna help, but you ended up asking too many questions...watch videos, have someone else do it on your bike, ask what they do, then practice from there.

you pretty much had everything right. your bike probably doesnt have enough power, so sell it and get a newer one.
and a "circle" is when you do a donut, while spinning out the back tire.
ide get some videos like Judgement Day(1 and 2), Urban Assualt(1 and 2), and Southern Chaos.
that should get you started.
goodluck

if second gear is dropping when you rev it up and try to accelerate in second, you have a bent shifter fork, those are inside the transmission and a pain in the but to fix, i think its time for a newer bike...

Yo! I had a 92 katana and it was a BITCH to stunt but it would! Kats are real easy to endo cause the weight is ALL in the fron on em......it kills breaks faster on them though than other bikes. Is your gearing stock? I could NOT get mine to come up to a wheelie more than a foot no matter WHAT I did when it was stock. I went -1 tooth on the front and then it would power up pretty good if I ran it to about 5500rpm and then shut the throttle and re-opened it quikly. I would run it to about 3000rpms and then pull the clutch in, rev to about 9500 and smoothly let it out and it would come up REAL high in first. The balance point on those bikes is like 11:45 so I would not even worry about trying to learn to ride em out on that bike for a while. Get REAL used to just riding them as long as you can for a while and get used to using the rear brake. THEN you can start trying for balance. I would have to say, get a newer bike though. I think the favorits are: CBR f4's, F4i's, 900's, and DEFINETLY Gixxer 600's and 750's! The hondas are built a little tougher I think, frame wise, and the parts are plenty and fairly cheep. Gixxers on the other hand seem just to stunt easier in some peoples opinion. Obviously if you do get a newer bike, the ones like the gixxer 1000 and R1 will seem like the obvious choice because the raw power will make things so easy! Wrong! It will come up easier but from what ive seen and heard, the gixxer can be VERY twitchy with all that power for first gear stuff.....and if youve never done anything FAST than you may not want to try a second gear clutch up a 45 on something as powerful as the gixxer 1k, if its your first high power liter bike! The R1, has a pretty high balance point and is a bit shaky from what I have seen, I dont know for sure, but better safe than sorry. There is a WORLD of difference between even a Gixxer 600 and a katana.....the transition from my 92 katana to my F4, is about what its like to go from an F4i to a gixxer1k. So if you get a new bike, choose realisticly within your comfort zone. If ya stick with the Kat, just be patient and remember that though NO bike was really made for stunting, it DEFFINETLY was NOT......sorry this was so long a reply but good luck.....

Stand beside your bike while it's running, make sure the kickstand is up. Than let go of the handlebars and hip-check the gastank hard and watch it fall. Once your bike has been initiated, than you won't feel bad for dropping it, it'll make you stunt easier. Old bike, use the shiat out of that clutch, my old 600 Kan-o-tuna was the same way. If you want wheelies, get a used SV650 for 2-3 grand. Or an F3, for about the same, but SV will spank an F3 On Any Sunday

Yo, thanks for all the help fellas... I wasn't sure if it was me or not, I've been riding since I was 8 years old... now I'm 23, I used to ride moto cross, though I never got THAT good at holding wheeles for LONG ammounts of time, I can ride well... my bike is just heavy and weak... If the balance point is so high on my bike that explains why it's so hard to keep it in the air. My next bike is probably going to be a CBR 929... are those good stund bikes? Balance point, and power to weight ratio? Or would you suggest something else.
