Question keepin' it up

I ride '03 636. I can wheelie 1st, 2nd and 3rd with stock gearing. I would like to ride long 2nd gear wheelies, but my problem is when I get it up I can't keep it up for too long (max. 3-4 seconds). I'm 6'9" so when I do pull on the bars im in a crouched position and when it comes up high I sort of lean too much forward (this way I have a better balance - I think) and bike goes down. If I lean backwards I have a feeling I will loop... How do I find balance point easiest way...
