Why do I pull to the right on wheelies?
Why do I pull to the right on wheelies?
I can do standups and clutch wheelies, but everytime I get the bike in the air to carry them out the bike goes to the right cutting my wheelies short. Why do I have this problem. I have tried correcting it but have had absolutely no luck. Can someone help me?
Re: Why do I pull to the right on wheelies?
how are you correcting it?
i doubt its the bike but you can try chekc your swingarm to make sure the allignment is straight........ but leaning one side wont neccessarily make u go one way...... for all you know you could be leaning to the right but pushing down on the left peg making you go left instead......... read the turning in a wheelie post.....

Re: Why do I pull to the right on wheelies?
Road crown is the shape of the road, it slopes to help drain water off the road. Some roads have more then others, but you can correct for it with practice.

if it is really pronounced then your rear wheel/chain alignment is out of whack...make sure it is adjusted evenly, then try a parking lot to eliminate the road crown theory-although that is very valid, especially up here in the north

Thanks for your reply guys. I think I have found the problem. I AM putting to much pressure on the gas in anticipation of the front end coming up. But just to make sure the alingment isn't off, I'm going to have it looked at at the Dearlership. That's not the first time I've had someone tell me to do that. Thanks for the great advice. I will keep you all posted on my progress.
