Re: Stunting an 01 R6
Start slow ,baby steps ,try learning how to run out first gear sitting/standing ,always wear your gear ,R6's are awsome but if you dont respect em they will bite you in the ***.ALWAYS COVER THE BACK BRAKE

i got an 2001 R6 and i love it!! but the BP on R6 are a little small and pretty high compared to most bikes. but once you learn how to ride it, youll rock it like no other!!

welcome to Stuntlife
when I first started on my R6 I would always try wheelies one gear higher than what I was shooting for. For instance, if I wanted to learn 2nd gear wheelies I would roll in 3rd gear and try to bring the front up using the clutch just to get a feel of how the bikes respondes at that speed/gear. In 3rd I'd clutch and the front would come up a certain hight. I would know then in 2nd what I needed to do to get the front up high enough to ride it out. I would have to either clutch it more or hit the throttle more at a certain speed. Standups, same way, but standup techniques. Mentally, for me, this was a little safer than just popping it up in 1st or 2nd, especially if you've never done it before. This technique helped me gain confidence and I eventually learned to ride 1st and 2nd gears in no time, without looping it. Have fun, and be safe! Oh, and cover that back brake!

Re: Stunting an 01 R6
I am having the wheelie problem on my 01 R6.. I have to clutch it in first gear to get it up, but I can only pop it up. I have tried so hard and cant clutch it in 2nd gear either
.. I have tried standing up also and I can pop it up in 2nd alittle.
... Does having any aftermarket parts help? or can a stock R6 enough?????????

practice practice practice.......Just make sure you always wear your gear and cover the back brake. Riding a dirtbike or four wheeler if you have one or any friends do will kinda show you how to work the clutch and throttle as to how the bike will respond. This will just let you get the feel. Power on streetbikes is much more than dirtbikes or four wheelers, so be careful
