Re: 2nd Gear R6 wheelies
All i have to say is you are doing something wrong. i can bounce my R6 in 3rd gear easily. i like to use the clutch in second just so i get better control when bringing it up in a troqued gear. if you still can't do go 1 tooth down on the front and stay stock size in the rear.

Have u tryed Viagara in your tank?
It also helps if u have Hp. Proper jetting for quick throttle response and check Air Filter. Mk sure that thing is clear of dust.
Also have u ever utilzed the frt forks?
1 tooth down in front will help.
Dont try to hard and be safe kid.

I've got a 2002 R6 and it's definetly what sdudgeonr6 said, timing!
I tried every weekend for a month and couldn't get it
but you experiment with speed+bounce+throttle. This is how I started. I'd roll between 45 & 55mph, stand up and give it a 'double' bounce. The first bounce is just a 'feel out' bounce, just to get the momentum going...I guess. The second bounce is harder, and here is the important part, open up that throttle while the bounce is on it's way up! It's so quick it seems like you almost hit the throttle the same time you bounce the second time. That is were the 'timing' part comes in
Keep in mind, bounce, bounce.....thottle. It also helps to cover the throttle more than usual. Just position your hand forward more, this allows for a more throttle turn. Once you get the hang of it you won't need to 'double' bounce. You will just know how fast you should go and whack that throttle. Hope you've got a spot to practice this. We're lucking down here. But don't know how long we'll have it. Hope some of this helps! Good luck, you'll be hitting standups in no time

Re: 2nd Gear R6 wheelies
I've never had that problem before with my R6. Either you're not giving it enough gas or you're not letting the clutch out hard enough. If you're not letting the clutch out enough you're just going to go faster when you do let it out. It almost has to be in a short burst, but be careful that sh*@ will come up quick if you do it right. The first time it happened to me I suprised myself.
Good Luck!
