i can hold the front up through 4th, but on the opposite end of the spectrum, i am trying to learn slow tricks and when i try slow rolls and 12's, it really takes some muscle from both me and my machine to get it up in 1st w/o flying down the lane. thus, the topic of the + rear sprocket was brought up. what companies have a proven track record, what do you use, and which ones should i shun away from? any posts would be most indubidebly appreciated.

 

if your 'chasing' slow wheelies, it's because you don't have it up high enough or have hit the 'balance point'... the faster you go, the lower the 'balance point' is, the slower you go, the higher it is..

to roll slow ones, you clutch the fack outta it, and get it up real high real fast.. gearing may help, but you can easily roll slow wheelies with stock gearing..

gearing your bike will not suddenly make you able to roll slow wheelies.. it will make you go slower, but will also make throttle response MUCH more sensitive

What bler said...you can roll slow stuff with stock gears, and infact I think that is how you should learn. Once you are ready for gears go Sprocket Specialist....they can make any size you want.

 

I agree learn them with stock gear... I wasted $150 on a big sprocket and new chain and it made my bike so slow I couldnt ride it anywhere and it didnt really make my wheelies any slower maybe 1-2 mph and you can go slower then you think with stock. I know I put mine back on and I wont go back. It's all about getting it up fast and high gearing helps some but not worth the money. thats my

 

i just bought a -1, +3 from sprocket speacialist and a 530 chain i havent put them on yet because i havent got the chain in yet just the sprockets how much top end will i lose :YEAH

 

There is nothing wrong with gearing a little I'm just saying dont waste money on a monster rear sprocket 1-2 down and 2-4 up is really all you need well that and practice
