but its also a really old clutch not to mention low in power compared to todays bikes. i wouldnt doubt that u have to clutch it up.

clutch it up I'm 20 up on my 954 and still clutch it up in first. The faster you get it up the less you will speed up. If your going to try to shift to 2nd shift early if you let the motor rev out the tranny won't shift and front wheel will come down hard. just blip the throttle and kick the gear.
