Sprocket set-up Q

Running a 96 ZX6R . . .

I want to run the stock 15 tooth in the front. My rear is a 40 tooth stock peice now. How many teeth should I run in the back. Looking to 12, 2nd gear wheelie and still be able to ride on the highway without reving the **** out of the bike in 6th.

I'm thinking 46-47 ???????

Also, where is the best on-line place to order??? ( i checked ebay, nuthin on there for the past couple weeks)

Last question - do I order any 525 chain, or do I need to get one x-tra long for the big-*** sprocket ?!?!?!

Thanks . . .

If you go 1 in the front you can get a 44 on the rear and still have a stock chain.......saves ya hundred bucks and it will feel like +7 in the rear.....still be able to do highway ****....

not sure if all bikes are the same....but on all my gixxers i have been able to go...-1,+4.....-2,+5 and on and on.....i wouldnt go down more than 2 or 3 in the front.....puts to much stress on the chain...kinda kinks it if ya know what i mean......

I bought a 45 tooth rear today, and I already have a 14 tooth for the front. Thanks for the advice, I'm gonna see how this works out . . . . whenever it warms up
