how good ya think you gatta be to start competing at shows and how do you get into it

 

get in as much practice as you can anywhere you can so you will be prepared, good luck

 

are there certain tricks that you gotta be able to do or what

 

I compete sometimes, and I suck. Unless its a big comp, they'll let anyone in.

 

if you want to compete and try to place you need to doing the tricks that they have events for(longest endo,longest no hand,longest coaster,sickest trick, etc)

 

I would suggest going to a local dragstrip on a day they are allowing people to come in off of the street and either race or stunt. It's a good way to get the feel of being on a dragstrip, cause it is a little different than the street, and being in front of a crowd of spectators. Any experience you can get is a step forward, but can be embarrassing at times as well!

i started whenever i felt comfortable. i love comps. even if i'm not that good, still fun to try.

 

Start at small local comps and work your way up as you start winning.
OR you could go squid in front of the pros....Not good for ego
