what gear are you in?

In 1st gear all stock gearing i can just give it gas and wheelie at 15mph

you can bounce it up anywhere between 35-55 in 2nd gear.
I dont think you are ready for 3rd gear advice, but it can be done with no clutch 1st tho 3rd all sock

accelerate to like 30, be sure to lean all the way back in the seat, your *** should be on the verge of the passenger seat, stop the throttle (cut it back to nada), gas the ****er real qwick, rinse lather repeat and change your pants.

that bike has *****

there is no need to go that fast....it will come right up at 20 no problem with just gas....you can sit on the tank and it will come right up....its not where you are sittin...trust me...

that ****** will toss you on your head...so keep taking baby steps!

R6bbie is right, it doesnt matter where you sit and you need to take baby steps. i used to have a 99 r6 however, when learning, it makes it easier if you slide your *** all the way to the back of the seat. make sure you dont lean forward, sit up in a normal position and let the bike come up to you - 25-30 in first let off throttle then gag the hell out of it.
if that doesnt work go trade it on a gixxer

Same bike as me.. trust me.. the thing WILL wheelie.. The guy who sold me my bike has a 03 Gixxer 600.. He says my bike comes up way faster than his. Play around on it some more.. for me when i hop it the slower im going the easier it is.. Clutching it is just scary.. Keep playing around!

I remember when I first rode my '02 R6. Picked it up from the dealer with 0 miles. Every time I twisted the throttle it felt it just wanted to reach for the sky.

I could do get second to come up using the on/off method and just twisting 1st would make it come up.

2nd comes up easier with a bounce and 3rd bounces fairly easily

clutching is so easy to do the same thing everytime but its a litle more dangerous.

The RPM's are too high.. On my R6, when your in the low RPMs, That thing just goes up like no tomorrow hopping it.. then it will have a dead point in the RPMS where it just wont go, After that again it goes right up.. Experiment around. I'm learning clutch myself right now

r6

Right if your still not getting it! I'm fairly new myself, how I learned was to:

start rolling in first just to about 15-20mph come off the gas completely then right away come back on pretty hard, the front should lift.

You may be told not to do this and to clutch it instead as the front may come up pretty quick.

Just remember to keep you foot on the back brake. Just in case..

Thumbs up

I've got an 03 R6, this thing loves to pick up the tire

Here's a vid I put together of me practicing about 2 months ago. Yeah I know it's pretty weak, but just shows that it is possible

http://host41.hrwebservices.net/%7Ew.../drew/drew.wmv

The 2nd two wheelies (errr, attempts anyway ) are 2nd gear bounce stand-ups..

I am riding the 2nd gears out much much longer and higher now, it's just a matter of practice and timing...

lata,
Drew
