Wheelies-just starting.

I have been riding for a little while now. Taken a couple of courses and gome to the track. But I STILL CANT GET MY WHEELIE DOWN!

I have a 2000 ZX-9R, Muzzy pipe with no jetting. A friend of mine said I should get a different gear on the back. It's stock right now.

I guess I just have to practice my throttle control. Every time I get it up there, I just shut it down.

You said it right there. You need to get comfortable with the front wheel being up in the air. Once that happens its all good, lata

Stock will be fine. If you want to regear a little you can, but your problem isn't the bikes gearing, it's just desensitizing to the overwelming sensation of getting ready to flip that you are feeling when the bikes front tire gets waist high.

The cure... 1000 more of those... then you'll be riding them a 1/4 mile, easy.

You could say I'm pretty new at the stunt scene , I had my R1 about a month before I popped my first wheelie. Believe me it felt weird as hell!! but after a while you just get used to it. now I can rev them out in 1st gear before it drops. working on standups and shifting now. jus gotta practice. later

two things Control your fear of flipping and get that throttle control down, once you do that next thing you know you'll be practicing stand ups and what not.
