you will definitely notice one down, but its not a huge difference. I don't know what stock gearing/chain length is off hand but just get a chain about 10 links longer than stock and cut it down to what you need. Sounds like 1 down 4 up is a good place to start, as long as you are already pretty comfy on one wheel, especially 12'n. good luck

stock it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or go +4-10 in the rear, a 530 chain will handle the clutching beat down!

probably...-1 +4 might be pushin it though. And if your chain already has some good mileage on it, it could destroy a new aluminum sprocket, so you may want to get a new chain anyway. If you do that....I'd go with six up in the back and stick with stock gear up front. That way when you're ready to step it up again just throw a -1 or -2 on the front. Just a thought, Lata

I'm -1+5 and love it. I also run 520 chain but you might want to stick with 530. I just use it because it is alot easier to work with.

i am -2 +10 on my gixxer 600...i believe that the stock gearing on a 750 is 16/45 but don't hold me to it and it has a 525 chain...u will notice a difference w/ -1 in the front, for every tooth u drop in the front it is the same as adding 3 in the back

On kneedraggers.com it says it has a 17 front and 42 rear with a 525 chain. Dont know the length of the chain though.

I have a 97 gsxr. Stock is 16/43 with a 108 chain. I have 1down, 5up now and I only had to have two more links(110). Also I had a 520 conversion when I got the bike. The chain was strecthing and rear sprocket was shot. So I went back to the 530 size sprockets for the abuse.
