Highchair Wheelies

I didn't see a thread on this so here we go---

I did ONE and it came up a little bit but the landing was messed up, I didn't crash but since I was in 1st gear it wasn't smooth at all. The landing came down rough. I want some advice before I head out again.

What's the best way to bring them up?

Right now I am rolling off and then on really hard to get them up. I warm up before I start rolling on hard.

I see guys doin' them really smooff and wanted to know some of your tips.

Here's a picture of my only one I've done it's a start...

I usedto power mine up but clutching is the way to go. Don't let the rpm's reach redline before coming down and stay on the gas a little when it is coming down for a softer touchdown. Oh..watch when u come down..i used to hit the kill switch with something (dont remember) when i learned and it would die right when i came down. good luck

i usually do them clutched in 2nd, but highway wheelies i go for 3rd so i am not as high of rpm. i was doing them sitting far forward but i just recently found it's easier if you slide far back on the tank. Clutch it up hard so it gets up fast and you do'nt gain RPMs. Then when you are coming down stay on the gas or let out and as it comes down slowly roll back in some throttle to make it easier. when i get my videos on the computer tonight i'll put some vid of my high chairs, they are getting higher and higher....very nice ones now.

i love high chairs.

binder,

Dude you have gotton better since this year when your crew posted your first video. I saw you at 1096's Midwest Mayhem and your run was nice, even did the spinderella. I got that on video from a different angle (I was standing on the guardrail).

Yeah I'm just trying to be where you guys are at now but at my rate it'll take another 2 years. I don't care I take it easy.

Thanks for the advice and I'll be looin' for your next vids.

thanks man! ya, we have progressed a lot since we started. our dvd should be nice. I appreciate the compliments. I was still in the "ok" learning stage at 1096's show but i wanted to go out and have fun. I could have done some better stuff but i was still nervous. Next year should be a blast. Hit me up if you need any more tips on stuff man. i'm always glad to try and throw my thoughts in on something.
