Exclamation 2nd gear wheelie help!!!

Ok guys, I have an 03 gixxer 6. 49 state, 1 down in the front. Only 7000 miles. I can bounce it up in second but i can't, for the life of me, clutch it up in second. I've gone so far as to slide back, pull the clutch, rev it waaaaay up and dump it and it just comes up like a foot, and slowly. This is pissing me off big time like i think somethings wrong with my bike. I'm willing to bet that its my technique though. any help is appreciated...

try bouncing at the same time as you clutch it.

Yeah I dunno what it is, my friend has an 02 with the same gearing and it comes up fine. It's due for its 7500 miles service, could that have anything to do with it? Also I notice that it takes alot more work to bring it up with a full tank in first. I dont even think about bouncing up in second if its full. I dunno what the problem is but it sucks. Everyone is getting sick of watching me skitch, endo, and do acrobatics. I need to get wheelying down now!!! First gear is easy but i want to bring it up at speed. All my friends can wheelie on the freeway and I can't!!!

Dude, I know exactly what your talking about! I have the 03 600 too and mine wont clutch in 2nd. I dont think it is the technique cause I can clutch up an R6 in 2nd no problem! But for some reason the gixxer wont do it! its like it falls on its face and wont keep the RPM's up....your not the only one! It pisses me off too!

I think you are going too fast slow down. Very slow pop the clutch with alot more rev and remember to cover your back breaks

I had a 99 gixxer 600 and could bounce up in 3rd no gears, no clutch. Just technique. Practice, Practice, Practice. Try going about 50-55 stand up bounce down and rev it some and pop the clutch and give it a moderate amount of gas. Cover your brake. Once you do it a couple of times you'll be like that wasn't that hard. Keep practicing and you'll get it.

1. grow some ***** and lean back. dont lean over the tank
2.compress the forks just before you let the clutch fly
3.cover the brake

If my old FZR can come up in 3rd, you can on the gsxr. my biggest problem was i wanted to lean over the tank to far but once you get past that, its all cake. Hope this helps.
