Unhappy Going from 03 Katana 600 to Gixxer 600 03...worried :(

Hey everybody, sup? Well, I ate it doin a 1 footed christ about a month ago, well, the insurance is payin the Katana off, so I'm gettin an 03 Gixxer 600. Well, I could do everything but stoppies and wheelies on my Katana. I could get crossovers, distance christs, nac nacs, left peg right foot, just about anything...well, I'm not planning on stunting my gixxer till I get very familiar with the bike, I mean I know theres a big difference from the Kat to the gixxer, but will the tricks I got on the Kat be as easy on the gixxer, since its 100 pounds lighter??? I'm just worried I may not be able to adjust to the less weight, and the ability to wheelie and stoppie of the gixxer... Thanks for any INFO I can get off you guys, and I'd greatly appreciate it if anyone has switched from Kat to Gixxer before if they could help me out...Well, I'm out...LATER

i had a can of tuna too!! I sold it a month later. It was so good to get rid of it. You should buy a older one so you still can afford parts after you wreck again. New bike are HARD to get parts for and they $$$$ alot too.

I went from a kat to a gsxr 6 to an r1. I didn't have any problems doing stoppies when I had an 00 katana. Wheelies, with stock sprocket and stuff were a pain though, basically first gear, pull clutch and drop it while bouncing-aton of throttle-and pulling back with everything lol. Did you ever try any on it?

I dont know how anybody else feels about having the insurance cut you a check after you pile up while attempting a stunt. I personally think its f'd up. If your gonna stunt thats cool with me but at least be prepared to eat the costs if you arent successful. Thanks keeping everyones rates sky high.

Well, It woulda cost me around 9 thousand to fix the bike, plus I still owed 5,800 on it, so I'd have a Katana that I payed 16 thousand dollars on, and you dont think insurance companies ever screw us?? for the amount people pay without ever having to use theyre insurance, I think it balances out a little bit...

you wouldnt have paid 9,000 to fix the bike because you can by a brand new bike for that much. So that point is irrelevant. Granted insurance companies screw us. However, by you screwing them it only causes everyone else to get screwed more.

what are you now Robin Hood of insurance. So by me not claiming anything it now gives you the right to claim on my behalf. thanks again

FOCK Insurance. I carry liability. If I crash, it's on me. However, if someone crashes into me, they pay!! So just have someone run you over after you have crashed... Guys, stop bickering about whats right and wrong. Thats why we have insurance, for people who do stupid things. Sorry, Kustard, if you are perfect.

Suzuki_600: I JUST went from a 2002 Tuna to a 2002 Gixxer6 amd it is a world of difference. I too could do many stunts on my tuna. The front end would come up fine...but it didnt have enough power to hold it out. The Gixxer comes up just on hard accellerations!!! I love it. But as far as weight, you dont notice the weight unless you are:
A- Wheeling ??
B- Endo-ing ??
C- Sitting still.

When I am in motion, it feels about the same. momentum evens everything out as long as you are on 2 wheels.

The dealer is dropping $600 for you. But how much are you paying? I can get a BRAND NEW Black/Silver or Blue/White Gixxer 600 for $6800 out the door in PA.

insurance is for accidents. Being stupid is totally different. I highly doubt when he claimed this he told the truth. I dont think the insurance would pay.

How bout this. I'm going to build a ramp and try jumping over a pond in my tempo. After i dont clear the pond I'm going to claim it. Then i can buy myself a better car.

QUOTE]Sorry, Kustard, if you are perfect[/QUOTE]

you should'nt be sorry. It's not your fault.
