I can bounce up some standups in second all day long. The problem is i want to do them in 4th using the clutch. Whats the technique to do this. Cluthching it seems to bring to the bp faster and in almost any gear. PLz help. Thanks!

Seems it would be much easier to get in 3rd or 4th and clutch it up while going 50-60mph. I want to learn this for riding in a group the guys in front always pully up there stand ups and we are going to fast for me to drop down to 2nd and pull em up. Anywasy my question if for the guys who can tell me how to clutch it up, not why i shouldnt clutch it up.

i hate to break it to ya but the guys you ride with are most likely in 2nd. i have the same bike you have and i can chill with freeway traffic doin a 2nd gear stand up. 3rd gear is too high of speeds and 4th gear is just one of thos do it so you can say you did it things, but to answer your question- give it about 1/3 throttle put one finger on the clutch and just slip it about half way in real quick then let it back out fast, you want the rpms to raise up a couple thousand, has to be a smooth quick motion and bounce as usual, hope that helps

i bring it up in second and then click gears to keep the rpms down low... it just seems healthier for the motor... with the oil and **** usually ill keep it in second or third though
